About the Author

Robert Shenk

Robert Shenk was a widely published professor of English at the University of New Orleans, and was also a retired captain in the U.S. Naval Reserve. He served on a destroyer and on river patrol boats during the Vietnam War, and later taught at two service academies. He died in 2021.
