Naval Institute Press
The newest book from the Press is Mars Adapting: Military Change During War by Frank G. Hoffman.
“An excellent work! Hoffman takes a refreshing view that balances military adaptation in wartime with substantial research from the field of organizational learning.”
—Trent Hone, author of Learning War: The Evolution of
Fighting Doctrine in the U.S. Navy, 1898–1945

In a significant departure from our normal book sales, the Naval Institute Press will no longer print and mail seasonal (Spring and Fall) catalogs. Our spring titles currently appear on the Naval Institute website (under the Spring 2021 category drop-down menu) on the Books page. Members will be entitled to the same discounts to which they are accustomed—40 percent off new books and 20 percent off titles older than one year. We expect to post our Fall titles in early Summer 2021.
Farewell to Dr. Phillip J. London, Captain, USN (Retired)
We were saddened to hear of the death in January of Dr. J. Phillip “Jack” London. Jack was a Life Member of the Naval Institute and a former member of our Board of Directors. He was a longtime supporter of the Naval Institute, and he proudly sponsored our annual Leadership Essay Contest. Please keep Dr. London and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
