31 December 2021 marked the successful completion of the Naval Institute’s first-ever comprehensive fundraising campaign, that launched in late 2017. Coined, “The Power to Inform, Convene, and Inspire,” the campaign’s cornerstone was the construction and outfitting of the Jack C. Taylor Conference Center to draw people into the heart of the cherished independent forum. The campaign also allowed the entire Naval Institute to achieve mission success by infusing capital to all programs from Proceedings Magazine, to the Naval Institute Press, underwriting USNI News, preserving the legacy of our naval heritage, and hosting our own confernces and events. The Institute is in awe of the generosity of thousands of supporters—individuals, corporations, and foundations—that, despite a global pandemic, enabled the Foundation to raise 106.8% of its $43.8M goal.
