Naval Institute Warfighter Lecture Series
Last fall, I mentioned a proof-of-concept professional development presentation on naval aviation we provided for Naval Academy midshipmen in the Jack C. Taylor Conference Center. That proof-of-concept has turned into an ongoing effort—in line with Objective Two in our 2019–23 Strategic Plan: “Advance Naval Professionals and their Profession.” As this issue went to press, we had hosted two more presentations, focused on the Marine Corps, with three more to come in the spring. The Warfighter Series is just one way we are using our new conference center to further our mission. Generous support from Navy Federal Credit Union allows us to provide pizza and soft drinks for the 400 midshipmen attendees per event.
