On a foggy morning outside the maritime discovery center Nauticus in Norfolk, Virginia, the museum ship Wisconsin (BB-64) rests at her moorings on the glassy Elizabeth River. The Iowa-class battleship, a veteran of World War II, the Korean War, and the 1991 Gulf War, was transferred to the City of Norfolk in 2010.
