Introducing the Foundation Board

The U.S. Naval Institute Board of Directors recently voted to re-establish a separate and distinct board to assist the Foundation in its work to support the Institute’s financial well-being. To our delight, five accomplished and dedicated business professionals have now accepted the challenge to serve. Together, they have more than a half-century of Institute membership—and our profound thanks for all they will do on behalf of the Institute.

The Naval Institute Foundation Board of Directors

The Honorable Gordon R. England, of Fort Worth, Texas, Chairman: Former Secretary of the Navy; former Deputy Secretary of Defense; and aerospace executive.

W. Thomas Musser, of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, Vice Chairman: Chairman, Tri-M Group and former Chair, National Federation of Independent Business and Associated Builders & Contractors.

Rear Admiral Kendell Pease, USN (Ret.), of Arlington, Virginia: Former Chief of Navy Information and recently retired Senior Vice President, General Dynamics.

Stephen M. Waters, of Greenwich, Connecticut: Managing Partner, Compass Partners; former Co-CEO, Morgan Stanley International; and former Chairman, Naval Institute.

Michael M. Wiseman, Esq., of Westport, Connecticut: Managing Partner, Sullivan & Cromwell, LLC.

These individuals are joined by Rear Admiral Daniel R. Bowler, USN (Ret.), Naval Institute Board liaison; Institute CEO Vice Admiral Peter H. Daly, USN (Ret.); and Foundation COO Kirk McAlexander.

‘Tis the Season

Our sincere thanks to all who have so generously supported the Naval Institute in 2013. Please accept our best wishes for the holiday season and throughout the new year. Your Naval Institute family will strive to continue to serve your interests in 2014.
