Welcome, Heather Lancaster!
We are delighted to announce that Heather Lancaster has joined the Naval Institute Foundation staff as director of development. She comes to us after nearly six years with the Naval Academy Foundation, where she served as assistant director of their annual giving programs.
Heather’s responsibilities with the Institute will include the cultivation and stewardship of major donors, the volunteer engagement of younger USNI members, and the harnessing of new media for the Institute’s philanthropic purposes.
Heather lives in Annapolis with her husband, Ryan, and yellow Labrador retriever, Preston. She is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, where she majored in economics and lettered in women’s lacrosse for four years. After graduating, she spent a year coaching lacrosse in London and continued coaching for several years when she returned to Maryland. Heather is on the board of the Jess Carson Foundation, whose mission is to aid critically and terminally ill children and their families.
Heather can be reached at (410) 295-1048 and at [email protected].
