Chief Petty Officer Delbert Mitchell, U.S. Navy (Retired), served as an aviation ordnanceman on board the USS Ticonderoga (CVA-14). After serving on active duty, he transferred to the reserve, serving with VA-303 at NAS Alameda, California, and as an aircrewman with VP-65 at NAS Point Mugu, California. He retired in January 1993 with 30 years’ service.
