Mr. Morton graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1967. After completion of Admiral Rickover’s Nuclear Power Schools and Submarine School, he earned dolphins while serving in a ballistic-missile submarine. Mr. Morton received an MBA from Harvard University in 1973. After a 30-year career in banking that led to positions of chairman, chief executive officer, and president of a number of large financial institutions, he retired in 2005. During this time he also served as chairman, trustee, and director of numerous business and community organizations in Kansas City, Kansas; St. Louis, Missouri; Washington, D.C.; and Baltimore, Maryland. Currently Mr. Morton serves as director of two corporate boards, chairman of the Maryland Stadium Authority, commissioner on the Maryland State Lottery and Gaming Control Commission, and is a trustee to the Athletic and Scholarship Programs of the U.S. Naval Academy Foundation. He is married with three children and resides in Annapolis, Maryland.
