Captain Shimulunas is an artillery battery commander in 1st Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he commissioned in 2014 and has since served with 1st and 3rd Battalions, 11th Marines; 3rd Battalion, 4th Marines; and 1st Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company.
