Commander Thomas J. Hughes, U.S. Coast Guard (Retired), leads the Exercise Support Division of the U. S Coast Guard Force Readiness Command as a career Federal employee. He is a certified emergency manager and a graduate of the National Emergency Management Executive Academy. He graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in 1985 and served 23 years on active duty.
