Dr. Spear is principal for The High Velocity Edge LLC, a senior lecturer at MIT’s Sloan School, and author of The High Velocity Edge. He was advisor to the Fleet Forces Command’s comprehensive review of 2017 collisions and was advisor to Newport News Shipbuilding on incorporating innovative systems on the USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78). He holds degrees from Harvard, MIT, and Princeton.
