Commander Ryan Vest, U.S. Navy, is a military faculty member with the U.S. Naval War College’s College of Maritime Operational Warfare, where he serves as the Sixth Fleet Action Officer for the Assist and Assess team and as an affiliate faculty member with the Russia Maritime Studies Institute. Commander Vest was designated a naval aviator in December 2002 and has served as a pilot with HS-11 on board the USS Enterprise (CVN-65) and HSC-8 on board the USS John C. Stennis (CVN-74). He deployed to Iraq with the 2515th Naval Air Ambulance Detachment and served ashore as a weapons and tactics instructor at the Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center in Fallon, Nevada.
