Dr. Folse is the Class of 1957 Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the U.S. Naval Academy, where he is teaching Navy and Marine Corps history and working on his manuscript, The Globe and Anchormen: U.S. Marines, Manhood, and American Culture, 1914–1924. He has published in Marine Corps History, Naval History, War on the Rocks, H-War, and the Journal of Military History. Dr. Folse also is a Marine infantry veteran with service in both Afghanistan and Iraq.
