Ms. Guill currently works as a desk officer for the Europe, Africa, and Middle East Region within the Office of International Programs, Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security. She was an intelligence officer and reserve air attaché during her 20 years in the U.S. Air Force and Air Force Reserve. The Azores have been the focus of Ms. Guill’s studies and writings in part because her maternal grandparents immigrated to the United States from the Azores in the 1920s.
