Major Walters is an Air Force pilot. She has deployed four times and completed more than 100 combat sorties. She is the cofounder of Air Mobility Command's Reach Athena, which identifies and addresses female and family-centric barriers to readiness. Her work has been published by the RAND Corporation, Journal of Veterans Studies, Small Wars Journal, and From the Green Notebook.
