Mr. Santi is a naval architect and marine engineer who graduated from the Italian Naval Academy in Trieste. He is chairman of GSEtrieste and developed the AIP C3D system, a fully manned midget submarine powered by closed-circuit diesel at 350 meters of depth. He has been involved with midget submarines all his life.
