Lieutenant Commander Gerry Mauer III, U.S. Navy, is a surface warfare officer assigned as the operations officer to Destroyer Squadron 7 in Singapore. He completed his division officer tours on board the USS Chafee (DDG-90) and USS Hopper (DDG-70), both homeported in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. He also served as operations officer on board the USS Carney (DDG-64) in Rota, Spain.
