A graduate of Bryn Mawr College in 1938, Lieutenant Commander Raymond entered the Waves in 1942 and served three and a half years on active duty, primarily in U. S. Navy hospitals. She is at present a member of the staff of Civil Defense for the State of Pennsylvania.
