Lieutenant Commander Karlik is an aerospace engineering duty officer who began his career as a P-3C Orion pilot in Hawaii. He has held acquisition roles at the National Reconnaissance Office and at the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program office, and in 2018 he served as a legislative fellow in the U.S. House of Representatives.
