Captain Brasseur is from Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. He was the first commanding officer of LCS Crew 111, the Iron Warriors, and he commanded both the USS Freedom (LCS-1) and USS Forth Worth (LCS -3). He has over 20 years leadership experience in the U.S. Navy, including command of the USS Whirlwind (PC-11) at the age of 30 in the Arabian Gulf in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
