Dr. Linn is professor of history at Texas A&M University. A specialist in military history, he is the author of Guardians of Empire: The U.S. Army and the Pacific, 1902-1940 and The Philippine War, 1899-1902, both of which won the Society for Military History’s prestigious Distinguished Book Prize.
