Chief Petty Officer Utsler enlisted in the Navy in 2001 and began his career as a sonar technician. He converted to the intelligence specialist rating in 2006 and was selected as a chief petty officer in 2013. His sea duty assignments have included the USS Vicksburg (CG-69), Navy Expeditionary Intelligence Command, and a special operations joint task force. He is a graduate of Saint Leo University with a bachelor’s degree in religious studies and the recipient of numerous personal and unit awards.
