Expanding the Non-Kinetic Warfare Arsenal

To meet the challenges and threats of the information age, the Navy is realizing that cyberspace means a lot more than just the Internet.
The definitions and policies regarding cyberspace are being discussed and debated throughout the Department of Defense. However, the discussion has largely centered around the conventional view of cyberspace as simply the Internet. To be current and useful, the debate should expand the focus to consider the similarities between the conventional view of cyberspace operations and classic electronic warfare (EW), more specifically, offensive cyberspace operations (OCO) and electronic attack (EA).
