Barbara Bradlyn Morris went from Key West to the office of the Commandant, Naval District Washington, then to Naval Communication Station, Honolulu, where she left the Navy to marry a fellow officer. She is the author of three books: The Fattest Baby in the Bronx: Snack-Size Stories from a Writing Woman’s Life (Bangor, ME: Booklocker.com, Inc., 2006), Crazy for Cats: A Purr-fect Love Story (Grand Rapids, MI: Gollehon Press, Inc., 2002), and The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts: An Insider’s Guide to Washington’s Liveliest Memorial (McLean, VA: EPM Press, 1994). Her work has also appeared in the Baltimore Sun, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Newsday, Army/Navy Times, House Beautiful, Bon Appetit, Far East Traveler, and Maryland Magazine.
