Vice Admiral Jean-Philippe Rolland, French Navy, is a graduate of the French Naval Academy, the French Naval War College, the Nuclear Engineering School, and the Center for Advanced Military Studies. He is a certified surface warfare officer in the French Navy and has commanded the FS Panthère, Commandant Bouan, La Fayette, and Charles de Gaulle. He previously served as head of the Capability Coherence Division on the French Joint Staff and currently is commander of the French Naval Action Force.
