Lieutenant Yale is a surface warfare officer who serves on an amphibious ship in Sasebo, Japan. Previously, he served on a destroyer in Yokosuka, Japan. He holds a bachelor’s degree in public policy and law from Trinity College and a master’s degree in strategic studies and international economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. He also attended the Hopkins-Nanjing Center in China and spent a year studying Mandarin in Beijing.
