Vice Admiral Franchetti served as the Commander, U.S. Sixth Fleet, Deputy Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Europe and Africa, and Joint Force Maritime Component Commander, Europe, from 1 March 2018 until 1 July 2020. Her next assignment will be in the Pentagon as Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Warfighting Development (OPNAV N-7).
