Colonel Tom Gibbons, U.S. Army (Retired), is an associate professor at the Naval War College. Before retiring from the Army, he was a rotary-wing aviator, flying from Navy ships in Operations Desert Storm and Desert Shield. He holds a bachelor of science from the U.S. Military Academy, master’s degrees from George Washington University and the Naval War College, and a doctor of education from Johnson & Wales University.
