Captain Daniel retired from the Navy after 31 years as a surface warfare officer. He now serves as a senior naval science instructor at WP Davidson High School. He served as commanding officer of the USS Samuel Eliot Morison (FFG-13), Florida A&M and Florida State NROTC, as well as special assistant to the 26th and 27th Chiefs of Naval Operations.
