Lieutenant Steber enlisted in the Navy in 2005 and began his career as an operations specialist. He converted to the intelligence specialist rating in 2010 and was selected as a limited duty intelligence officer in 2015. His duty assignments have included the USS Iwo Jima (LHD-7), Navy Expeditionary Intelligence Command, PCU Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78), and the Office of Naval Intelligence. He is enrolled as a master’s student in the National Security Affairs, Eurasian Security Studies Program, at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California, and has a master’s degree from the National Intelligence University.
