Captain Hwang is an assault amphibian officer assigned to the Marine Corps Operational Test & Evaluation Activity in Quantico, Virginia, serving as the operational test project officer for the Amphibious Combat Vehicle 30-mm mission role variant program. He has served in various billets with 2d Assault Amphibian Battalion, as well as completed a cycle as a platoon commander at the Marine Corps’ Officer Candidates School. He is a graduate of the Expeditionary Warfare School–Resident Program and a scholar with the Navy’s Low-Residency Graduate Education Program attending American University’s Kogod School of Business.
