Lieutenant Casey graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering. After completing training, he served as a division officer on the now-decommissioned USS Pittsburgh (SSN-720) out of Groton, Connecticut, where he completed two deployments and an under ice transit for change of homeport. He currently serves as an NROTC instructor at the University of California, Berkeley.
