Dr. Pizzolo is an assistant professor and postdoctoral research fellow at the Centre for International Studies and Development of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków and also has been a postdoctoral fellow at the Centre for Comprehensive European and International Studies of the National Research University Higher School of Economics of Moscow. He holds a PhD in political science and international relations from LUISS Free International University for Social Studies of Rome.
