Chief Roloff was the only journalist in Tokyo with ComNavFE, assisting the Public Information Officer under Admiral Joy, when the Korean War started. Consequently he was one of the very first Navy journalists to land in Korea. He has had articles published in the Navy Times, Our Navy, and other military and civilian publications. Chief Roloff is now stationed in Washington where he is editor of The Naval Recruiter.
