Lieutenant Melvin H. Tennis, Jr., USNR-R, was editor the daily newspaper, Jackson County Floridan. He has attended Hampden-Sydney College and the University of Chicago and also is a graduate of the U. S. Naval Reserve Midshipmen’s School, Northwestern University. In both World War II and the Korean conflict he served in landing craft.
