Rear Admiral Leonard Picotte, U.S. Navy (Retired) was a surface warfare officer who commanded four ships, including the USS Marathon (PG-89) in Vietnam. He was the commissioning CO of the USS Wasp (LHD-1) and served as the executive officer and commanding officer of Surface Warfare Officer School in San Diego. His final sea tour was Commander, Amphibious Group Two, in Norfolk, Virginia.
