Mr. Ulliman joined American Superconductor as vice president in 2006 from Northrop Grumman Corporation, at which he served in various executive positions, including corporate director of maritime campaigns, director of HII Ingalls Shipbuilding business development and legislative affairs, director of Ingalls Integrated Power Systems Program responsible for lead-ship design, integration, and test of the Zumwalt-class destroyer propulsion and power system, and director of business development and planning for the C4I and Naval Division within the Electronics System Sector. He holds a bachelor’s in engineering from Purdue University.
