A graduate of George Washington University in 1950, Mr. Ford joined the staff of Navy Times in 1951. His story in Times papers in 1959 first revealed Department of Defense studies on long range costs of military retirement. He is also the author of a lengthy study comparing military-Civil Service pay and benefits which was reprinted in the Hearings of the House Armed Services Subcommittee on the military pay bill. Mr. Ford is an Associate Editor of Navy Times, and Chief Congressional Correspondent for Army Times Publishing Company.
