CDR Wilgus is in his third decade working for the U.S. government on NATO, Europe, and Eurasian military and foreign policy problems. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 21 years’ service as an intelligence officer, serving on multiple staffs and deploying to the Persian Gulf, Lebanon, Afghanistan, the Horn of Africa, and with Special Operations Forces. He served in various U.S. and NATO warships, as well as imbedded with ground forces. He has a master’s degree in international relations from Troy University and attended the Naval War College. He and his family live in Cambridgeshire, England.
