Mr. Abshire, now Captain, USNR, is a 1951 graduate of the U. S. Military Academy and Served in the Korean war as platoon leader, Company commander, and staff intelligence officer. A frequent contributor on military affairs to periodicals and newspapers, Mr. Abshire currently was a candidate for a doctorate in history at Georgetown University.
