Commissioned an ensign in the Naval Reserve and serving for a year as a flight navigator in VR-2, Lieutenant Moorhead was released to inactive duty and occupied in the radio and television field until the outbreak of hostilities in Korea. Recalled to active duty, he was assigned to VR-5 as a navigator on the Pacific airlift, then, took part in Operation Skijump, and is currently with VR-6 attached to the European Wing of the Military Air Transport Service.
