Captain Belt has served as a full professor and associate provost at the National Intelligence University, and for two years concurrently led the CIA’s 23-member-nation Global Futures Forum’s Project on Political Violence and Extremism. Previously, he served as assistant professor, national security studies, National Defense University. In a former military career, he served 26 years on active duty, leading various high-risk operations within the U.S. Navy’s Special Operations Officer community (non-SEAL).
