Lieutenant Colonel Lusczynski is an infantry officer who has deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Okinawa with the 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion and the 3rd Recon Battalion. He also served abroad with NATO Allied Land Command in Izmir, Turkey. He currently is a capabilities integration officer at Headquarters Marine Corps Combat Development and Integration, responsible for the portfolio of reconnaissance equipment and the Maritime Recon Company initiative.

An Australian-designed Whiskey Bravo boat and two former Naval Special Warfare 11-meter rigid-hull inflatable boats that have been acquired by the 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion. The Whiskey Bravo is an experimental craft acquired by the Defense Innovation Unit and Marine Corps Warfighting Lab. It is being used to help refine requirements for what might eventually become an RFP and program of record. But, for now, it is one-of-a-kind.
