Lieutenant (junior grade) Chiacchia is an intelligence officer assigned to the Multiple Threat Alert Center of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service in Quantico, Virginia. Prior to laterally transferring to naval intelligence, he served as a surface warfare officer on board the USS Hopper (DDG-70) in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, where he was billeted as the ordnance, gunnery, and antisubmarine warfare officer. He commissioned through NROTCU College of the Holy Cross in 2020. He is a graduate of Brown University and a PhD candidate at the Australian National University in the School of Politics and International Relations.
