A graduate of the U. S. Naval Academy in 1937, Captain Shupper served in destroyers in the Pacific during World War II. His postwar duty includes Staff, ComCarDiv 15 in Korea; Executive Officer, U. S. Naval Weapons Depot, Yorktown, Va.; Executive Officer, USS Newport News (CA-148); and Commander, Destroyer Division 601. At present he is Head, Enlisted Distribution Branch, in the Bureau of Naval Personnel.
