In 2017, the Naval Institute Foundation launched its first-ever comprehensive campaign—The Power to Inform, Convene, and Inspire—to propel the Institute into the future. With the campaign in its final stretch, please consider making a tax-deductible gift now to speed progress toward our shared goals.
The Naval Institute’s ability to accomplish its mission—providing the Independent Forum for naval professionals who currently serve, increasing our fellow citizens’ understanding of the contributions of U.S. sea power, and making our Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard the finest in the world—is enhanced through philanthropic support. That has never been more so than now, as the pandemic has considerably dampened the Institute’s advertising and fundraising income, as well as conference revenue.
Last fall, we broke ground on the new Jack C. Taylor Conference Center adjoining the Naval Institute headquarters. When completed in early 2021, the Center will provide a much-needed platform for creative thinking and discussion—both in person and virtual. There are still opportunities to be permanently recognized as a supporter of this high-visibility initiative through personalized auditorium chairs, “bricks” on the rooftop terrace donor wall, and on our Celestial Donor Wall, which depicts the celestial map on the day of our founding, 9 October 1873.
The Institute just completed a new video rendering of the Jack C. Taylor Conference Center. We hope you take a look and see how the Conference Center will appear when it opens next year! Visit www.JackCTaylorConferenceCenter.org/video.
Your generous support also enables the Naval Institute to expand initiatives such as our Sponsored Student Membership Program for midshipmen, cadets, and other students and our acclaimed daily news service, USNI News. Contributions allow the Institute to publish and digitize more articles and books; produce professional conferences; and capture the experiences of those who served through memoirs, oral histories, and graphic novels.
