An Evening in Philadelphia
Several dozen Naval Institute Members and their guests recently gathered for cocktails and dinner at Philadelphia’s famed Union League club. The evening was hosted and sponsored by retired Rear Admiral Tom Lynch, former superintendent of the U.S. Naval Academy; Tom Deas, Vice President and Treasurer of FMC Corporation; and retired Vice Admiral Joe Hare, Vice President of Shipyard Operations, Rhoads Marine Industries.
After dinner, Naval Institute CEO retired Vice Admiral Peter Daly offered the group an insider’s briefing on recent initiatives and on the Institute’s strategic plans moving forward. The Institute is most grateful to Tom Lynch, Tom Deas, and Joe Hare for hosting this wonderful evening.
Similar events were held last year in New York City and in Minneapolis. We’d like to have small get-togethers like this across the country to reach out to Members and to encourage active participation in the Naval Institute “outside the Beltway.” If you would be interested in hosting a gathering, please contact Kirk McAlexander at (410) 295-1056 or at [email protected].
