Grant Underwrites History Conference
The William M. Wood Foundation of Boston, Massachusetts, will sponsor the U.S. Naval Institute’s 2012 history conference. This year’s program, a joint production with the Naval Academy to be held in Annapolis on 16 October, is entitled “The History, Challenges, and Dynamics of Cyber Warfare.”
The late William Wood was a graduate of Harvard College and Columbia University Law School. He served in the Navy during World War II and practiced law in Massachusetts for many years.
The Naval Institute has enjoyed the foundation’s support on a number of projects over the past five years, such as special gatefold issues of Naval History magazine. The foundation also underwrote USNI’s annual history conferences in 2010 and 2011.
Matching Gifts Increase Your Support
Employer gift matching is a simple and effective way to boost your support of the Naval Institute. Many companies match or even double tax-deductible gifts made by staff, board members, and retirees to add the weight of their charitable dollars to the interests of their associates.
