Cicero (106–43 BC)
A neophyte Sailor takes a bow over the lee rail on board a training ship sometime around the turn of the 20th century. While dignity may be lost, this is nothing if not honest. Even the great Vice Admiral Horatio Lord Nelson, who first went to sea at the age of 12, suffered the indignity of mal de mer throughout his life.
